Quilted Jacket Class with Mary Beth

Come learn to make a stylish quilted jacket! This fun project is a great way to create a one-of-a-kind piece and stay on trend. You’ll start with a sweatshirt and transform it into a beautiful quilted jacket using fabrics in the colors and style you love.

Class Preparation:

• Bring a sweatshirt one size larger than you normally wear

• Sweatshirt should be washed and ready to sew

• YOU MUST HAVE STEAM A SEAM ON YOUR FABRIC BEFORE CLASS!

Join Mary Beth as she guides you through piecing and assembling your quilted jacket. This class is best suited for a confident beginner who is comfortable sewing on their machine or has taken one of our Intro to Quilting classes.

What to bring:

• Sewing machine in good working order

• Matching thread to your fabrics

• Machine needles

• Rotary cutter & quilting ruler

• Small fabric scissors

• Seam ripper

• Pins and/or clips

Optional tools: mini iron, wool pressing mat, cutting mat, Frixion pen, sewing awl, Flatter spray, clapper, and tape measure.

Need a sewing machine? Rentals are available for $20. Please call 405-594-7845 at least 3 days before class to reserve.

Before class:
Please pick up your pattern ahead of time so your fabric is cut and ready to sew.
