Learn to Make the Log Cabin Quilt with Dawn Reitz
Come join Dawn Reitz and discover how fun and versatile the classic Log Cabin quilt can be! Dawn has been teaching quilting for 39 years and brings a wealth of knowledge, experience, and hands-on techniques to every class. She loves sharing her many tips and tricks to help quilters of all levels create beautiful results with confidence.
You may cut your quilt using the AccuQuilt system or Stripology rulers, and you are welcome to make any size quilt you like.
Fabric Requirements for a 56" × 56" Quilt:

2 1/2 yards lights

2 1/2 yards darks
-
1 3/4 yards outside border
-
3/4 yard binding
-
Backing: 65" × 65"

What to Bring:

Sewing machine in good working order

Machine needles

Rotary cutter

Quilting ruler

Small fabric scissors

Seam ripper

Pins and/or clips
Optional Notions:
Mini iron, wool pressing mat, cutting mat, Frixion pen, sewing awl, Flatter spray, clapper, and tape measure.
Sewing Machine Rental:
If you do not have a sewing machine, you may rent one from the shop for an additional $20. Please contact us at 405-594-7845 at least three days before class to reserve a rental machine.
