Stack & Whack Quilt Class with Mary Beth

Join Mary Beth and learn to piece the beautiful Stack & Whack quilt! Watch your fabric transform into stunning star designs as identical repeats are layered, cut, and sewn together. This class is perfect for a confident beginner who is comfortable sewing on their machine or has taken one of our Intro to Quilting classes.

What to bring:

• Sewing machine in good working order

• Machine needles

• Rotary cutter with a new blade (you’ll be cutting through 8 layers)

• 6" x 24" quilting ruler

• 6" x 12" ruler with 30°, 45°, and 60° lines

• 17" x 23" cutting mat

• Flowerhead pins or other flat pins

• Small fabric scissors

• Seam ripper

• Pins and/or clips

Optional tools: mini iron, wool pressing mat, cutting mat, Frixion pen, sewing awl, Flatter spray, clapper, and tape measure.

Need a sewing machine? Rentals are available for $20. Please call 405-594-7845 at least 3 days before class to reserve.

Fabric Requirements:

• Star fabric with a design about the size of your open hand
  (8 repeats or approximately 5 yards)

• 3 1/4 yards background fabric

• Optional: 1 yard accent fabric (borders)

• 1/2 yard binding

• 3 1/2 yards backing
